Electrostatic Precipitation (ESP) is a highly efficient industrial air filtration technology that removes fine particles, dust, and airborne contaminants from the air. It works by charging particles with an electrical field and capturing them on collector plates. VIU 1000 works by applying a powerful static charge of approximately 8000 volts to the airborne particles. These charged particles are then drawn to oppositely charged collector plates, where they are captured and removed from the air.
ESP filtration achieves up to 99% efficiency, even for sub-micron contaminants such as viruses and bacteria. An additional benefit of ESP technology is its low resistance to airflow, as it uses static force to filter contaminants. This results in better overall system performance with minimal impact on air circulation.
Ultraviolet Germicidal Irradiation (UVGI) is a powerful technology used to disinfect the air by destroying microorganisms such as bacteria, viruses, and mould spores. UVGI works by using UV-C light to target the DNA and RNA of pathogens, rendering them harmless.

The VIU 1000 units are expertly designed to be installed concealingly above the ceiling, optimising floor space and keeping the system out of sight. A high-performance built-in fan pulls contaminated air from the environment. Once the air is drawn in, it undergoes a rigorous dual filtration process. Electrostatic precipitation removes up to 99.999% of airborne particles and even sub-micron contaminants like viruses and bacteria.
Following the ESP process, UVGI targets and deactivates harmful microorganisms, including bacteria, viruses, and other pathogens, by altering their DNA, rendering them unable to reproduce. Once the air has passed through both filtration stages, the VIU 1000 releases clean, purified air back into the environment.
